It has been a very big couple of weeks for us—and for Deep Blue.

Right now, she’s still up on the hardstand in Fremantle, getting all the love and attention she needs—cleaning, welding, painting—every step bringing her closer to being ready for the next chapter.

There’s something both exciting and slightly surreal about seeing your home out of the water, stripped back and being rebuilt stronger.

At the same time, life on land has taken an unexpected (and very welcome) turn.

After leaving our B&B, we were incredibly fortunate to secure a beautiful home in Coogee—just 10 minutes from the boat. And honestly… it felt like it all happened in fast-forward.

We saw the property advertised on Thursday. Enquired straight away. Walked through on Friday. Accepted on the spot. Agreement received Monday. Moved in Tuesday.

Just like that.

Sometimes, when things are meant to be, they simply fall into place.

We’ve now been here just over a week, and we are absolutely loving Coogee. Close to the water, close to Deep Blue, and close to this next phase of our journey.

We’ve borrowed a bit of furniture, bought what we needed, and somehow—very quickly—it feels like home.

And yes… we’ve reintroduced ourselves to a few luxuries:

Long, uninterrupted baths. Unlimited electricity. A bed that doesn’t rock with the tide.

(Although, if I’m honest… I don’t think it will take long before we start missing that gentle movement again.)

In amongst all of this change, we’ve also continued working—and I feel incredibly grateful that we’ve been able to keep supporting our clients through our NDIS businesses. No matter where we are—on land or at sea—that connection to purpose, to people, and to making a difference remains constant. It grounds us, even when everything else is shifting.

For now, though, this is exactly where we need to be. A moment to reset. To prepare. To get everything ready before Deep Blue goes back in the water and into her pen at Port Coogee.

And once she’s back where she belongs… the countdown begins.

Because this has never just been about sailing.

It’s about the life we’re choosing to create.

Life really is one big adventure. And the truth is—it’s up to us how we navigate it. We get to choose whether we move through it with hesitation… or with joy, courage, and enthusiasm.

We only get this one life.

And every single day, we make choices that shape what it becomes.

I feel incredibly grateful—not just for where we are, but for who I get to share it with. To have a partner who truly understands me, supports me, and embraces all my craziness…

That’s the real adventure.

I get to live my best life—with my best friend.

And honestly… that’s everything.
